Homemade Mac & Cheese

Ingredients
- 1 lb of elbow macaroni – you know, the short kind
- 4 tablespoons of butter – don’t skimp on the good stuff
- 4 tablespoons of flour – all-purpose will do just fine
- 3 cups of milk, please
- 3 cups of cheddar cheese – go ahead, get the good stuff too
- Some salt and pepper to taste – you know, the usual suspects
Instructions
First off, get a pot of water boiling and cook your macaroni.
Now that your pasta is done, make a decent butter-flour roux – it’s not rocket science, just melt the butter and whisk in the flour
Add in your milk gradually – don’t go dumping it all in at once. You know what to do here
Then grab a block of cheddar and go to town, stir it in there good
Mix the cheese sauce with the pasta, and if you’re feeling fancy, pop it in the oven for 20 minutes
BBQ Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients
2 racks of baby back ribs – you can use more or less, but this is a good starting point
Some BBQ sauce – the good kind, not that sugary stuff
A sprinkle of brown sugar to give it a bit of sweetness
A pinch of paprika for some extra depth
Garlic and onion powder – because everything’s better with some extra flavor
Salt and pepper, the usual suspects
Instructions
Get rid of that membrane on your ribs – you want the seasonings to get under the skin, after all
Then sprinkle on your dry rub – make sure to get some on there good
Next fire up the oven to 275 degrees fahrenheit and let those ribs cook for about 3 hours – yes you read that right 3 hours, but the end result is well worth it
Once they’re done baking, give ’em a good brushing with some BBQ sauce
Finally, fire up the grill or broiler and toss those ribs on for 10 minutes to get that nice smoky flavor
